Not at all – regardless of your age or ability, whenever you decide to start yoga that is the right time for you.
Do you teach children’s yoga?
Not currently.
Is yoga safe for everyone?
I think everyone can benefit in some way from practising yoga. By ‘yoga’ I’m not just talking about ‘physical’ yoga (eg poses, asanas, stretches etc) but ‘mind’ yoga too (eg using breathing techniques and meditation for stress relief). Physical yoga can bring all types of benefits to your body and overall wellbeing, but if you have any pre-existing medical conditions it would be advisable to consult a medical professional before going to a class.
Do you have special classes for beginners?
Please contact me if you are interested in a beginners class or 1-to-1 session: neil@yomayoga.co.uk
Can I take a class if I’m pregnant?
Yes, but I would advise finding a teacher who is trained in ‘yoga for pregnancy’. I’m not, but if you’re in the Colchester area please let me know and I’ll be happy to put you in contact with local teachers who are.
How will I know if a '1-to-1' yoga session is right for me?
‘1-to-1’ classes are available in Colchester and the local surrounding area. I offer a free 30 minute no obligation consultation prior to your first 1-to-1 booking. During this consultation we’ll discuss your aims and any concerns you may have, you can then decide if you’d like to go ahead. For more information please contact me at neil@yomayoga.co.uk
What are your qualifications?
I am a certified RYT200 yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance www.yogaalliance.org and have a level 3 Diploma in Teaching Pilates. I am also a member of EMD Uk (The national governing body for group exercise)
Where can I find more about you?
I have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/YomaYogaNeil – or if you’d like to have a chat then please just drop me an e-mail at neil@yomayoga.co.uk and I’ll be happy to give you a call at a convenient time.

What’s the difference between a psychic reading and a mediumship reading?
A psychic reading is where your own energy is ‘read’. Your energy, sometimes referred to as your aura, holds past experiences and current information. In a psychic reading I will look at your own energy to see where any issues are that may be holding you back. I sometimes connect with my spirit guides to assist with this.
A mediumship reading (sometimes referred to as a sitting) is a communication with a spirit person connected with you. You should recognise the spirit person from the evidence provided. The evidence may include (but is not limited to) their personality, how they passed, memories of times shared, their hobbies and passions, significant dates or names and evidence to show that they are still around and aware of what is going on in your life.
Can I get a refund if I don’t resonate with the reading?
A live reading (either in person face to face, online or by telephone) will be refunded in full if you tell me that you are not resonating with the information within 10 minutes. Once 10 minutes has passed it will be assumed that you are happy to proceed, and later refunds will not be given.
An email reading or psychic art reading cannot be refunded because the full amount of time would have been spent in putting your reading together. You may find that your reading resonates more with you at a later date.
How long does a reading last?
A reading usually lasts about half an hour. It will be no longer than 40 minutes.
What are your qualifications?
I hold the CSNU and am a certified award holder level for speaking and demonstrating mediumship within the Spiritualists’ National Union. I have already achieved the Platform Accreditation Scheme.
I run one of the development circles at The Temple of Light Spiritualist Church, Felixstowe as well as teach various workshops. I also hold Shamanic Practitioner’s certification and am trained as a Reiki Master. In addition I have a BA (Hons) degree in Interior Design.
which has details of any events where I can be found demonstrating mediumship or teaching.
